OpenTrack headtracking software. AITrack headtracking input. Pretty much any webcam with at least 640x480 resolution and 30fps capture. Higher resolution doesn't matter so much but more fps will make tracking smoother. PS3 Eyecam is a good cheap way to get 75fps right off the bat.

- There are a couple of really good ways to get IR headtracking without springing for TrackIR itself. 1.) First off, you have 'Freetrack' (look it up on google), it is free software that works like the TrackIR software, the only catch is that you have to build your own IR head tracking rig and modify a webcam, still, don't worry about it too much since the construction of such things takes only.
- This is built-in software delivered with the PS3 Eye camera PC drivers. You need to go to Menu and from DEVICES choose PS3 Eye Camera before you will be able to change anything. Then go to OPTIONS and click VIDEO CAPTURE FILTER to open the window. Please use it to pre-set your camera threshold before you go to set up the threshold in Opentrack.
And was working on receiving the UDP data without the java.nio.ByteBuffer and java.nio.ByteOrder library at the time just for the heck of it and to work my brain a bit.
I do not have a face tracker so used the “Test tracker” input of the OpenTrack software.
